Here is a new word for you.

Desiderare.
Latin. (Verb, pres. infin.)   To miss, or long for.

But its more than that. Alternate definitions are to desire, want, need, and wish for. It’s the balance between missing someone and wanting them, wishing for someone’s skin as well as their company. Latin, bless its cold deceased heart, has a word for that particular feeling of missing a lover which English fails to concisely express.
     Desidero te: ‘I miss you.’
Desideravi me tune?: ‘Did you miss me?’
